How to use your Notion template to manage your income and expenses:
1-Add a new financial entry
In the main table, create a new row and fill in the following fields:
-Date: Select the date.
-Name: give your transaction a clear title.
-Category: choose a category (e.g., food, transportation, shopping, etc.).
-Amount: enter the amount (positive for income, negative for expense).
-Payment Method: select how you paid (cash, card, PayPal, etc.).
-Type: choose whether it's an Income or an Expense (this is a dropdown menu).
-Notes: add any extra details or reminders.
-Completed (✅): check this box once the transaction is finalized.
2-Automatic category
-Once you select a category, the template automatically adds up all the amounts for that category in a separate summary table. This helps you track how much you're spending (or earning) in each area.
3-Income & Expense summaries
-When you select “Income” or “Expense,” your entries are automatically sorted and the amounts are added to separate summary boxes:
-Total Income.
-Total Expenses.
4-Current available balance
-The template calculates your current balance by subtracting your total expenses from your total income and displays it in a final summary box.
Note: All transactions in this template are organized using a card-style layout and classified by month. Simply select the card you want to fill in and choose the corresponding month to keep your records clean, clear, and well-structured.
